ISIS has training opportunities to help immigrants participate fully in Canadian life. We offer orientation programs, language classes, employment workshops as well as business training. Training is divided into On-site classes and workshops which take place at ISIS, and Online classes and workshops. Below is a full list of ISIS classes and workshops in alphabetical order. Asthma Aware

What is asthma? What is an asthma flare-up? This one day training program will answer these questions and more.

Basic Microsoft Office Suite

This class provides basic level training in the Microsoft Office Suite, and is intended to give you a good base of understanding before taking an intermediate level class.

Build on the Basics

Business Culture in Nova Scotia

Clear Speaking Online

On-going enrollment

This five to seven-week online course offers opportunities to develop and improve your pronunciation. You will work at your own pace and receive individual feedback from the instructor.

Communication for Healthcare Professionals

April 22-July 26

This program is an inter-disciplinary communication course for health-care professionals. This intensive course focuses on the language skills needed to practice effectively in a Canadian health-care work environment.

Communication for Work and Business

April 2 – June 21

This program is for immigrants who already have some English language skills and want job related language training to help them find a job that fits with their skills and experience, or immigrants who want to start a business.
