ISIS Online Learning offers flexibility that fits a variety of learning goals and individual lifestyles. Online Learning provides a range of programs to immigrants in Nova Scotia and beyond: communication skills, pre-employment skills, on the job language, businesses development, Canadian culture, and ESL literacy teacher training. ISIS creates opportunities for peer interaction, with timely feedback and follow-up from the online learning staff. Below is a list of all online courses in alphabetical order. Clear Speaking Online
April 2013
On-going enrollment
This five to seven-week online course offers opportunities to develop and improve your pronunciation. You will work at your own pace and receive individual feedback from the instructor.
English in the Workplace Online
Ongoing Enrollment
This program offers live training customized to the needs of the employed or self-employed immigrant. Training takes place at your workplace using a computer, a web-cam, high-speed internet, and software for shared visuals.

This 10 week online instructor development course will provide you with the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to work in the field of ESL Literacy.
Grammar Online
Self directed study
This program has grammar activities that provide opportunities to learn and practice specific grammar topics. There is no instructor for these activities, so you can go at your own speed and repeat them as many times as you wish.
Idioms for the Workplace
Self directed study
This is an online collection of over 200 commonly used workplace idioms and definitions. There is no instructor for this resource, but activities are monitored as you study.
Interview Skills Workshop Online

This workshop is a self-directed study and you have 4 weeks to complete the workshop once you begin.
Introduction to Writing Online
