Coordinator, Employer Engagement
“The People Services Department at Capital Health has been participating in ISIS’ Practice Interview Program for the last five years. When I received the initial request, I this provided an opportunity for our employees to “give back” by supporting a community organization and assisting new immigrants prepare to enter the local work force. The experience has meant so much more than that. The HR Advisors and Consultants who have had the opportunity to meet and interview these candidates have been constantly amazed by the stories that have been shared. It has been an education for all of us as HR professionals; we have looked at our system from a different perspective and gained a better understanding of the need for diversity and the value it brings to our organization. We have been able to appreciate the talent, skills and desire to contribute this workforce brings to our community. Staff who have participated in this program are quick to let me know they believe they have gained far more than they have given. Thank you for allowing us to join you in this valuable initiative.” - Mary Blakey, Manager Client Services, Capital District Health Authority
